About Me
My Story
I am a film student from Illinois working my way to learn storytelling through editing for film. I have experience working on short films, documentaries, and in team projects. I want to continue on my craft as a film editor in film editing, sound design, and color correction. I am always looking to learn and grow as a filmmaker.

What made me pursue in the film world were from my life experiences that dealt with adversity. This means all the low points in every aspect of my life including my social life, friends, and the major factor would be my family. It made me wish I could edit those times but in reality, the timeline keeps moving forward. I keep reminding myself to stay in the present.
A content creator who inspired me to study in film was a production from California called "Wong Fu Productions." They make skits, feature films, and any entertainment they produce on YouTube. As an Asian they inspired me to make those kinds of edits because how impactful those films were when I watched them.
As I mentioned in the introduction I'm a Filipino-American who would like to someday become a professional film editor. With that, it would be me being the first in my family to study film and television for the first time. I hope to navigate to the right places in the film industry since I don't know anyone in my family who did film.
From my personal life experiences, those times stream into the skills of a film editor, which conveys emotions in a film. Putting myself in the character's shoes in a specific film naturally makes the workflow in editing a bit easier to know what to do. How to make that mood fit in or create that mood to make it work in that particular film project.
